About the Author

Joao “John” da Cunha is a 35-year-old History PhD candidate at Liberty University with a Master’s Degree in Military History from American Military University and a Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology from Minnesota State University Moorhead. A U.S. Navy veteran originally from Brazil, he now lives in North Dakota with his wife Maria and their three children. His historical interests center on military history—tactics, strategy, conflicts, figures, logistics, causes, consequences, and classical studies of war. His master’s thesis on the Vardar Offensive was expanded into a book, now available through the Shop link on this site.
